Inter Milan see Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi as a serious possible target to replace Man United target Andre Onana.
This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri have long been admirers of the 23-year-old, and have him as one of the main names of their short list should they complete a sale of Onana, and that La Dea value him at €20 million.
Inter are very much preparing for the possible exit of Onana.
Manchester United are ready to make a big money offer for the Cameroonian. Should the Red Devils meet the Nerazzurri’s valuation for the Cameroonian then he will be on his way.
Accordingly, searching for potential replacements for Onana is high on Inter’s list of priorities for the summer.
Shakhtar Donetsk keeper Anatoliy Trubin is high on the Nerazzurri’s shortlist. As is Valencia keepeer Giorgi Mamardashvili.
However, FCIN report, Inter are also seriously thinking of a name from within Serie A.
Inter Milan Could Sign Marco Carnesecchi As Andre Onana Replacement
Carnesecchi is a player who has been linked with Inter for some time now.
According to FCIN, the Nerazzurri had Carnesecchi under close observation throughout last season. The Italian youth international had spent the campaign on loan with Cremonese.
Even though the Lombard team were relegated back to Serie B, it was not because of any faults from Carnesecchi.
Rather, the 23-year-old had an outstanding campaign. He then followed it up with an impressive Under-21 Euros with Italy this summer, despite the Azzurri having exited the tournament.
Accordingly, FCIN report, Inter are serious about Carnesecchi. He could come in as the replacement for Onana.
Moreover, according to FCIN, Atalanta would be open to making a deal for the 23-year-old.
La Dea coach Gian Piero Gasperini reportedly prefers to have a more experienced keeper for next season.
Last summer, Atalanta had reportedly valued Carnesecchi at around €12 million. Now, FCIN report, they would be ready to listen to offers of around €20 million for the 23-year-old.
