Man United are ready to move to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, whilst the Nerazzurri have lined up Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin as a replacement.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Manchester United are still pushing to sign Onana according to the Gazzetta.

There had been a rumour from the UK press that the Red Devils could drop their pursuit of the 27-year-old due to Financial Fair Play. However, according to the Gazzetta, the Premier League giants will move for Onana regardless.

The newspaper reports that United are offering €50 million for Onana. Inter still want €60 million.

The two clubs could shake hands on a deal for a fee right in the middle between those two figures, possibly with add-ons included.

Thus, Onana still has a good chance of leaving to become a United player. And Inter will subsequently have to move to sign a replacement.

Inter Milan Want Trubin As Replacement If Onana Joins Man United

At the top of the Nerazzurri’s list is 21-year-old Shakhtar keeper Anatoliy Trubin, the Gazzetta reports.

The Ukrainian international would cost €15-20 million, considering that his contract with Shakhtar runs out at the end of next June and he’s not signing an extension.

This would make Trubin a somewhat cheaper alternative to Valencia breakout star Giorgi Mamardashvili. The 22-year-old international is, however, still on Inter’s shortlist.

However, Trubin is the current priority. According to the Gazzetta, intermediaries are already working to potentially set up a deal for Inter to sign the Shakhtar keeper.

And, in the meantime, Inter could also move for Sampdoria’s Emil Audero as a more experienced keeper in addition to Trubin.

The Italian could offer a safe pair of hands experienced with Serie A whilst Trubin settles in. A lot also depends on the fate of Samir Handanovic.
