Inter Milan have triggered the release clause to sign Germany Under-21 defender Yann Bisseck from Aarhus.

The Danish club have officially announced this in a press release on their official site, confirming that the Nerazzurri have submitted the €7 million offer necessary to sign the 22-year-old per the clause in his contract.

Bisseck has been one of the first players who Inter have worked to sign for this summer transfer window.

The Nerazzurri have identified the former Koln youth academy product as an ideal young defensive reinforcement.

Bisseck will reportedly join as a backup to Alessandro Bastoni. During the season just gone the 24-year-old has had no real deputy in the squad.

Either Francesco Acerbi has shifted to the left or Federico Dimarco has moved into defense when Bastoni has been out.

Now the Nerazzurri will have a true backup for Bastoni. Bisseck is used to playing on the left of a back three despite being right-footed.

Inter Milan Trigger Release Clause For Aarhus Defender Yann Bisseck

Inter have reportedly agreed a five-year contract with Bisseck until the end of June 2028.

The German had been engaged with his national team at the Under-21 Euros. However, after a disappointing elimination from the group stage of the tournament for Die Mannschaft, he is ready to turn his attention back to his future at club level.

Bisseck should complete his move to Inter soon.

And, Aarhus have made clear, the Nerazzurri have made the offer necessary to sign the 22-year-old. They announce that Inter have offered 52 million Danish Krone, equivalent to €7 million.

This will be payable in two instalments.

The Nerazzurri have reportedly beaten the likes of Manchester City to Bisseck’s signature.

Bisseck made 32 appearances for Aarhus in the Danish top flight last season. He scored four goals in the process.

Having come through the youth ranks at Koln, the German had loan spells with Holstien Kiel, Roda JC, and Vitoria Guimaraes.

Then, Bisseck signed for Aarhus in 2021, initially on loan and then on a permanent deal last summer. It is in Denmark where he has really found his feet.

The 22-year-old’s displays for Aarhus have convinced Inter to take the plunge.
