The agent of Porto midfielder Otavio has revealed that Serie A duo Inter Milan and Juventus are interested in signing the 28-year-old.

Speaking to Italian news outlet L’Interista, the Portuguese international’s agent Israel Oliveira stated that both the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri are ready to try and meet Porto’s €40 million asking price to sign him.

Inter have already made one big midfield signing this summer – Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo.

However, the Nerazzurri still have one more slot to fill in midfield, at least on paper. The departures of both Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Gagliardini mean that Inter have just give senior midfielders in the squad, even with Frattesi’s arrival.

Inter are reportedly considering a move for Roberto Pereyra on a free transfer. Then there is Udinese starlet Lazar Samardzic, a target who wouldn’t necessarily come cheap however.

Meanwhile, Juventus look to have missed out on signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Serb is reportedly on the verge of making a big money move to Al-Hilal.

Therefore, both of the Nerazzurri and the Bianconeri could well be casting their net for possible midfield targets. And the agent of Porto midfielder Otavio has dropped a potential bombshell regarding their search.

Agent Of Porto Midfielder Otavio: Both Inter Milan & Juventus Keen

L’Interista asked Otavio’s agent Oliveira about interest in the Portuguese midfielder.

“I can say that there’s a strong interest in bringing him to Italy,” he said of the Porto star. “A lot of teams from that league want to sign him.”

He added that “They’re currently looking to raise the necessary funds to pay the €40 million that it would take to sign him.”

L’Interista asked if Inter in particular consider Otavio a target. “Yes, I can confirm that,” Oliveira responded. “And I think that Juventus will also join the race to sign him.”

Less clear, however, is how either of Inter or Juventus would be available to afford a deal for the Porto midfielder.

Clearly the €40 million asking price that Otavio’s agent alludes to would be a big ask for any team in Serie A. Therefore, Inter in particular would presumably have to make a big sale in order to sign him.
