Inter Milan are ready to move for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin and Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer to replace Andre Onana.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are preparing a quickfire double signing in the wake of the expected sale of Onana to Premier League giants Manchester United.

Andre Onana should only be an Inter player for a very short time longer.

Whilst the move is not quite done, Inter are certainly anticipating a new Man United offer for the Cameroonian to arrive.

It should only be a matter of days before he makes the switch.

As such, Inter are not waiting around as far as the succession plan. They have to replace not just Onana, but also departed captain Samir Handanovic.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are preparing to go after both Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin and Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer immediately.

Inter Milan Not Waiting Around To Move For Trubin & Sommer As Onana Replacements

In the case of Sommer, Inter should have little trouble getting a deal over the lines.

The 34-year-old Swiss international has a release clause of €6 million in his contract with Bayern.

The Bavarians signed Sommer from Borussia Monchengladbach in January as cover for the injured Manuel Neuer. However, with the 37-year-old ready to return, he will be surplus to requirements.

Sommer is ready to make the move. If Inter cannot negotiate a lower fee than €6 million to sign the veteran goalkeeper, then they will simply trigger is release clause.

On the other hand, there is no release clause for Trubin at Shakhtar.

And, even though the 21-year-old’s contract runs out at the end of next June, the Ukrainians are still holding out for a fee of €30 million.

That is virtually three times what Inter want to pay.

However, the Nerazzurri are going to try and push through a deal. They believe that the player is totally committed to making the move happen, and this can be a decisive factor.
