Our-of-favour Spurs midfielder Pape Sarr has been offered to Inter Milan on loan.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 20-year-old’s entourage have sounded out the Nerazzurri as a possible loan destination as he looks for a loan move where he can receive more playing time.

According to FCIN, Sarr’s representatives are looking for a new club for him to join on loan.

The Senegalese has struggled to break into the Tottenham team. Having joined from Metz in the summer of 2021 and then been loaned back to the Ligue club for the following season, last campaign was Sarr’s first with Spurs.

The 20-year-old made just eleven appearances in the Premier League over the course of the season. He played fourteen times for the London side in all competitions.

Among these was a start at the San Siro in a Champions League round of sixteen tie against AC Milan.

Sarr didn’t look overawed by the occasions.

And according to FCIN, Sarr could well be seeing a lot more of the San Siro next season.

The 20-year-old doesn’t look likely to figure much more prominently into the Lilywhites’ plan next season than he did last.

Last time around, Sarr struggled to break into the team under former Inter and Juventus coach Antonio Conte. Then, Conte’s abrupt departure left the whole team mired in a mood of uncertainty.

Next time around, ex-Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou. According to FCIN, the Austrlian coach would be willing to let Sarr leave in search of playing time.

The Italian outlet reports that the Senegalese’s representatives have sounded out Serie A as a possible destination.

Inter in particularly have gotten the offer of potentially loaning in Sarr.

The Nerazzurri are still looking to replace Roberto Gagliardini to shore up midfield depth for next season.

The 29-year-old’s departure means that as things stand Inter have only five senior midfielders in their squad – they want to head into next season with six.

Udinese’s Lazar Samardzic is another player on Inter’s radar in this search. However, the 21-year-old won’t necessarily come cheap.

Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch is also a prospective target.

Meanwhile, Roberto Pereyra is likely to join Besiktas on a free transfer. Therefore, the Nerazzurri will miss out on the ex-Juventus and Watford man who was one of their main low-cost targets.
