Inter Milan are meeting with the agent of Giovanni Fabbian for talks regarding his future amid Lecce and Frosinone interest.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the 20-year-old’s representative Michelangelo Minieri has been at the Nerazzurri’s headquarters today, where he and Inter directors have spoken about a contract extension and loan move.

Last season, Fabbian’s first within the senior game, the Inter midfielder spent on loan with Reggina.

That was a very successful first venture into senior football for a player who’d already starred at youth team level.

Fabbian named as the Calabrian team’s best player of the season.

This has even led to interest from some of Serie A’s heavy hitters – Napoli, Lazio, and Atalanta.

For their part, however, Inter would not want to sell Fabbian. The young midfielder is certainly not a player who the Nerazzurri would want to lose for good.

At the same time, playing time is a priority for the 20-year-old to keep growing and developing at the same rate. And in this sense, there is no chance of him going back to the second division.

Inter Milan Hold Contract Talks With Giovanni Fabbian’s Agent

According to TMW, the first order of business in talks with Fabbian’s agent has been a contract extension.

Inter’s intention has long been to get that wrapped up. However, as of yet TMW report that the 20-year-old has not yet put pen to paper on a new deal.

Fabbian’s current contract runs out at the end of June 2026.

Inter are aiming to extend the midfielder’s deal until the end of June 2028 before sending him out on loan.

They want to tie him down on a long-term deal before considering any other options.

Then, TMW report, they and Minieri have also discussed loan options for Fabbian.

For some time now, Lecce have been the club really pushing to loan Fabbian for next season. However, TMW report, newly-promoted Frosinone are also very keen to join them in the race.
