Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is Inter Milan’s top target in attack, although Simone Inzaghi still prefers a move for Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInter1908.

Inter’s search for a big signing in the striker position is now in full swing.

The Nerazzurri have rejected all attempts at reconciliation by Romelu Lukaku, and are working to get a deal done for an alternative target.

And, according to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have a clear idea of who they’re going after.

Folarin Balogun Inter Milan’s Top Target In Attack

Tuttosport report that the Nerazzurri directors are keen on Arsenal and USMNT striker Balogun.

The 22-year-old’s outstanding season on loan with Reims has them convinced.

The price tag for Balogun will be high – reportedly, Arsenal want around €40 million to make a deal.

However, the Nerazzurri directors believe that this would be a fair price for a player of Balogun’s age, quality, and potential for further growth.

Therefore, Tuttosport report, Balogun is the player who Inter’s directors want to go after.

Inzaghi Still Hoping To Sign Alvaro Morata

According to Tuttosport, however, Inter coach Inzaghi has a different goal in mind.

The coach, the newspaper report, is focused on trying to sign Morata.

The 30-year-old represents a very different kind of target compared to Balogun.

Whereas the Arsenal player has great potential for growth but still has a lot of question marks about his consistency and ability to adapt to Serie A, Morata is a player who has shown himself to be a very reliable option across four seasons at Juventus.

Therefore, Inzaghi sees the Spaniard’s experience and consistency as preferable to the potential of Balogun.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport report that Inter are also still interested in West Ham United’s Gianluca Scamacca and Udinese striker Beto.
