Former Nerazzurri striker Nicola Ventola feels that Alvaro Morata should join either Inter Milan or AC Milan this summer.

Speaking to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, the former striker argued that compared to Roma, the other club to have been strongly linked with Morata in Serie A, the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri are more attacking and therefore create more chances for their strikers.

Morata has been attracting plenty of transfer interest in Serie A this summer.

Inter have made Morata one of their main targets in the striker position after pulling the plug on their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku.

Reportedly, the former Chelsea, Juventus, and Real Madrid man is the target who Simone Inzaghi prefers.

Meanwhile, Roma have not given up on signing the Spaniard. Reportedly, Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho still sees Morata as the top option to strengthen in attack for next season.

And then the likes of Milan and Juventus have also recorded an interested in signing the Atletico striker.

There is hardly a guarantee that Morata will return to the Italian top flight this summer.

But if he does, the Spanish international will have his pick of top teams to join. And for his part, Ventola feels that he knows which choice Morata should make.

Ventola Argues Alvaro Morata Should Pick Inter Or AC Milan Over Roma

Of the Atletico striker, Ventola said that “I’m a massive fan of Morata.”

“In my opinion, he should go to a team that play good attacking football and have clear ideas of how they want to play,” the former striker continued. “So I’d put Inter inpole position, as they’re a team who attack a lot.”

“The closer Morata is to goal, the better.”

“After them I’d put Milan, then Roma in third. Because we’ve often seen that Mourinho’s teams struggle to attack.”

Of the other striker options that are looking at, Folarin Balogun and Mehdi taremi, Ventola said that “I often say that teams need to invest in youth. But here I think they need to go with experience – I’d go with Taremi.”

“He’s physical, but also technical,” he said of the Porto striker. “He knows how to score goals.”
