Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is hoping that Inter Milan, Roma, and Juventus target Alvaro Morata stays this summer.

Speaking in a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews, the Colchoneros boss emphasized that, despite the transfer rumours, Morata is an important player for his current team.

In recent weeks, Morata has been the subject of a fair few transfer rumours.

Inter have reportedly lined the 30-year-old Spanish international as a target after their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku screeched to a halt.

But the Nerazzurri aren’t the only team interested in bringing Morata to Serie A, according to reports.

Roma have also reportedly shown a strong interest. Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho is a fan of the former Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Juventus man.

And then, the Bianconeri have also been linked with signing Morata for a third spell.

But there’s no guarantee that Morata will end up leaving the Wanda Metroplitano this summer.

Reports suggest that Atletico do not plan to sell the 30-year-old for a fee much below their asking price, which is around €20 million.

Therefore, if the right offer does not arrive, then Morata will likely stay.

Moreover, Atletico coach Simone suggests, the club would have no problem keeping the player on.

He insists that Morata is still a player with an important place in the team.
