Inter Milan are cooling their interest in signing Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, who’s leaning towards a move to Juventus.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, who report that the Spaniard’s preferred transfer this summer would be a third spell with the Bianconeri, an that the Nerazzurri are moving on to other targets.

Morata has been attracting plenty of transfer interest in Serie A this summer.

Inter have made Morata one of their main targets in the striker position after pulling the plug on their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku.

Reportedly, the former Chelsea, Juventus, and Real Madrid man is the target who Simone Inzaghi prefers.

Meanwhile, Roma have not given up on signing the Spaniard. Reportedly, Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho still sees Morata as the top option to strengthen in attack for next season.

However, it could be back to the Bianconeri for the Spanish international instead.

Inter Milan Cool Interest In Alvaro Morata Who Prefers Juventus Move

According to Mediaset, Morata would actually be most inclined towards a return to the familiar setting of Juventus.

The Bianconeri could be in the market for a centre-forward this summer. Particularly in the event that Dusan Vlahovic leaves.

And with that option on the table, Mediaset report that the player himself prefers the Bianconeri.

That leaves Inter looking at other targets on their shortlist.

Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun is certainly a top name on the Nerazzurri’s radar. Meanwhile, Udinese’s Beto is another target for them.

But as far as Morata goes, the path appears to be getting tricky for Inter.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri could prefer a different profile of player over the experienced Spanish international.

Whilst Morata would certainly bring experience and reliability, he would be a more short-term signing.

On the other hand, the other targets on Inter’s list are younger and have more of an eye on the future.
