Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic will join Inter Milan either on Monday or Tuesday.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri and the Friulani are in a hurry to hammer out a deal for the Serb, and that he will officially become an Inter player early next week.

Inter have rapidly advanced in talks to sign Samardzic over the past couple days.

Reports indicate that the Nerazzurri are now right on the verge of an agreement with Udinese for his transfer.

Reports vary on exactly what the fee and structure of the deal will be. But what looks clear is that the two clubs are ready to shake hands on a fee, and that the Nerazzurri will send young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian to the Gewiss Arena as a counterpart.

Meanwhile Inter have also reportedly agreed a five-year deal with Samardzic himself.

The former RB Leipzig midfielder is keen to make the switch.

All parties are now oriented towards wrapping the move up as soon as possible.

Inter Milan To Wrap Up Lazar Samardzic Deal On Monday Or Tuesday

Inter and Udinese are not yet quite at the final stage of a deal for Samardzic.

The main thing that the clubs have to work out is the inclusion of Fabbian in the operation.

What is clear is that the 20-year-old will join Udinese. And, FCIN report, it will be a permanent deal rather than a loan, and there will be a buyback option.

What the clubs have not yet agreed upon is the buyback option for Fabbian.

According to FCIN, Inter value Fabbian at €10 million in their offer for Samardzic. They want there to be a buyback option worth €15 million in the deal.

Meanwhile, Udinese want the buyback option to be for €20 million. Moreover, FCIN report, the Friulani are aiming for a buyback option that only becomes valid in the summer of 2025.

Moreover, for his part, Fabbian wants the move to happen soon. The 20-year-old wants to sort out his future as soon as possible, as Frosinone and Lecce are also in the race for his signature. He doesn’t want much more uncertainty.

The same is true of Samardzic.

The 21-year-old wants to be able to join up with his new teammates when they return to training on Thursday following a preseason tour of Japan.
