Italy international midfielder Davide Frattesi feels no shortage of motivation to start the season now that he’s an Inter Milan player.
Speaking at an event organized by Konami during the Nerazzurri’s preseason tour of Japan, via FCInterNews, the 23-year-old gave his thoughts ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Frattesi has been one of Inter’s marquee arrivals for the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old arrives with big expectations on his shoulders following a couple excellent seasons with Sassuolo.
He has also broken through in the Italian national team.
Therefore, Inter faced no shortage of competition to sign Frattesi.
AC Milan reportedly considered joining the race to sign Frattesi after selling Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United.
Meanwhile, Roma and Juventus were also keen on signing the Azzurri midfielder.
However, it was the Nerazzurri who managed to convince Sassuolo on a deal. And, even more importantly, they convinced the player himself.
The player’s agent confirms that Frattesi’s desire to join Inter over other suitors was key to the deal.

The 23-year-old added that “I can’t wait for the season to start.”
