Inter Milan are starting to consider a move for Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero as their pursuit of Anatoliy Trubin stalls.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are looking more and more likely to make their move to sign the 26-year-old as a transfer of Shakhtar keeper Trubin this summer still looks difficult.

At the moment, Inter are trying to move on a couple fronts as far as the goalkeeping positions are concerned.

On the one hand, the Nerazzurri are trying to make a transfer of Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich happen as soon as possible.

There is still an impasse between the clubs as the Germans seek a replacement, leading to some impatience.

However, the sense is that Inter will get a deal to sign Sommer over the line sooner or later.

But the 34-year-old is not the only goalkeeper that the Nerazzurri are after.

Inter want to sign two goalkeepers. Sommer would only be the first.

Anatoliy Trubin is a persistent target for the Nerazzurri, whether this summer for a fee or next summer on a free transfer.

But as far as a move this summer goes, Inter and Shakhtar are still miles apart on a fee. Therefore, a move next summer might be likelier.

Inter Milan Starting To Lean Towards Audero As Trubin Move Stalls

Whilst Inter are still trying to sign Trubin, they know they need a backup option.

One way or the other, the Nerazzurri want to sign two keepers for next season.

Sommer would be the main one, but a backup keeper of a certain quality must also arrive.

And in this sense, Tuttosport report, Inter are increasingly concentrating on Audero.

The Italian should be an attainable target, considering Sampdoria were relegated last season.

Moreover, Audero know Serie A well. The 26-year-old’s quality and reliability are clear despite the Blucerchiati’s relegation.
