Inter Milan and Udinese have reached a complete verbal agreement on a transfer of midfielder Lazar Samardzic.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that the Nerazzurri and the Friulani have come to a full agreement on the transfer, with Giovanni Fabbian going the other way.
It is now truly only a matter of time.
Lazar Samardzic is still technically an Udinese player, but the agreement between the clubs is there. Now the 21-year-old is ready to complete the formalities on his move.
According to Di Marzio, Inter and Udinese have agreed on a one-year paid loan with a fee of €4 million.
Then, next summer, Inter will have a mandatory obligation to sign Samardzic on a permanent basis. The fee will be €16 million, plus a further €2-3 million in add-ons.
Going the other way will be young Nerazzurri midfielder Giovanni Fabbian . The 20-year-old will make the switch to the Dacia Arena for a fee of €4 million.
Di Marzio also confirms that Inter will have a buyback option on Fabbian. This will be worth €12 million.
Inter Have Complete Verbal Agreement On Samardzic Deal With Udinese
Inter are at the finish line in their chase of Samardzic. They have beaten the likes of AC Milan and Napoli to the German-born Serbian international’s signature.
With this verbal agreement with Udinese now in hand, the transfer can go ahead.
Samardzic will soon be able to undergo his medicals and get the last formalities out of of the way.
The 21-year-old can then sign his Inter contract. Reports suggest that he and his representatives have already agreed terms on a five-year deal with the Nerazzurri.
Then, Samardzic can link up with his new teammates in training to start working for next season.
Samardzic will be Inter’s second midfield reinforcement of the summer, after Davide Frattesi.
