Udinese midfielder Lazar Samardzic will undergo his medicals and sign his contract with Inter Milan on Monday.

This according to Udine-based newspaper Messaggero Venteo, via FCInterNews, who report that the 21-year-old will officially become a Nerazzurri player at the start of next week.

As of yet, Samardzic is still an Udinese player, at least on paper.

However, the talks between the Nerazzurri and the Friulani have been all but wrapped up for some time.

The two clubs have agreed a deal for Samardzic to join Inter on an initial one-year loan deal. There will be a mandatory purchase obligation for the Nerazzurri next summer.

Meanwhile, young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian will go the other way, joining Udinese. Inter will retain a buyback option on the 20-year-old.

There has been little question that Samardzic is joining Inter for quite a few days now.

However, the deal has not yet become official. However, there is a specific day when the former RB Leipzig midfielder will seal the move.

Lazar Samardzic To Sign Inter Milan Contract This Monday

The Nerazzurri will still have to wait one more day before they can officially call Samardzic their player.

The German-born Serbian international will not sign before the end of this weekend.

However, there is now finally a specific day for when Samardzic should join.

Messaggero Veneto confirm that Samardzic was not in Udinese’s team for a friendly against Al-Rayyan earlier today. This is because the Friulani are gearing up for his leaving the club.

Samardzic will make his visit to Inter’s headquarters on Monday.

There, the 21-year-old will undergo his medicals and then sign his five-year contract to become an Inter player.

Inter are now truly at the finish line. They have beaten the likes of AC Milan and Napoli to the Samardzic’s signature.
