Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento has confirmed that Inter Milan have made an offer for him, and that he wants the move.

Speaking to Brazilian radio station Transamerica, via FCInterNews, the 24-year-old suggested that his “dream” is in the Paranaense President’s hands now.

This summer, Inter have been trying to sort out their goalkeeper conundrum for next season.

Andre Onana has left for Manchester United in a big money deal. However, the Cameroonian is far from the only one.

Nerazzurri captain Samir Handanovic has also departed after more than a decade. Therefore, Inter will have a couple of slots to full in terms of the goalkeeping positions.

Bayern Munich’s Yann Sommer will be the immediate replacement for Onana. The Swiss will arrive within the next day or so.

But there is still the matter of a younger goalkeeper signing with a view to the long term.

Shakhtar Donetsk keeper Anatoliy Trubin is still a priority. But the chances of signing the Ukrainian this summer appear to be diminishing as his club hold out for a high fee.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri have reportedly carved out Paranaense keeper Bento as another possible option.

Bento Confirms Inter Milan Have Made Offer For Him

24-yearold Brazilian keeper Bento Matheus Krepski has impressed in the past couple years. He has made the starting spot in goal at Paranaense his own.

Inter’s interest in signing Bento appears to be serious.

The player concerned made this clear. He began that “First of all, I’m focused on the next Copa Libertadores.”

“That’s the most important thing for us this season and, we have to turn it around after the first leg result.”

And regarding an offer from Inter, he said that “Yes, they’ve already made one. And I’ve spoken with their directors.”

“Now my dream is in the hands of the [Paranaense] President,” Bento added.

Now everything could come down to whether Paranaense will accept a bid in the Nerazzurri’s price range.

Inter are reportedly ready to offer around €10 million for Bento, the same amount as they have put forward for Trubin.

On the other hand, the 24-year-old has a release clause of €60 million in his contract with Paranaense.

Clearly if the Brazilians were to hold out for that amount or anything close to it, there would be no chance of a deal with Inter. On the other hand, at a lower fee, Bento could join the Nerazzurri.
