Inter Milan are ready to increase their offer to Bayern Munich for Benjamin Pavard today, whilst Torino’s Perr Schuurs is their Plan B.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter have made Pavard their top target in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

But negotiations with Bayern have yet to produce an agreement.

Part of the problem has been that the German champions do not want to sell Pavard until they have secured a replacement.

Then, there is the fact that Inter simply haven’t offered enough as of yet.

The Nerazzurri have put forward around €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Meanwhile, Bayern want €35 million at the least for the 27-year-old.

According to Tuttosport, however, Inter are planning to launch another bid today.

Inter Want Pavard As Plan A – But See Torino’s Schuurs As Plan B

Inter are also considering their other options in the event that they are unable to secure an agreement with Bayern for Pavard.

Whilst the Frenchman is firmly first-choice, the Nerazzurri are aware of the Bavarians’ stance. And they do not want to be left scrambling to sign a different target should Bayern decisively reject their offers.

According to Tuttosport, Inter’s secondary target is now Torino defender Schuurs.

The Dutchman will not come cheap. The Granata want at least €40 million to sell him according to Tuttosport.

Moreover, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also have their eyes on th2 23-year-old former Ajax man.

But Inter have laid the groundwork for a move for Schuurs.

But that is only as a contingency plan. Right now the negotiations with Bayern for Pavard are ongoing, and Inter are going full speed ahead.
