Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard will complete his transfer to Inter Milan imminently.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are closing in on the signing of Pavard.

The 27-year-old is the player who the Nerazzurri have identified to replace Milan Skriniar in defense.

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta made no effort to hide the fact. And coach Simone Inzaghi has also admitted that he wants the Frenchman in his squad by the end of the summer transfer window.

Inter have been pushing in talks through the past few days.

They have continued to push their offer up, and hoped that the player’s insistence would make the difference.

And now, it’s a done deal. Inter and Bayern have reached a full agreement on a deal for Pavard.

The Nerazzurri will pay a fee of €30 million for the Frenchman. In addition, there are €2 million in potential add-ons.

Now all that’s left is for Pavard to undergo his medicals and then sign his contract.

The Frenchman has pushed for the move at every step of the way and is eager to join the Nerazzurri. It should not be long at all before Pavard joins up with his new teammates in training.

Pavard should be in Inter’s squad ahead of their Serie A clash with Cagliari on Monday.

The 27-year-old former Stuttgart defender should likely travel to Italy today.

There, he can get the last formalities on the transfer out of the way.

Inter have decided on Pavard as the replacement for Milan Skriniar following the Slovakian’s move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Bayern had initially resisted selling the 2018 World Cup winner, primarily because they wanted to secure a replacement. However
