Inter Milan could make a double swoop in midfield late in the transfer window – Tanguy Ndombele and Maxime Lopez.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported on air via FCInter1908 that the Nerazzurri are considering moving for the Tottenham Hotspur and Sassuolo midfielders, and that Kristjan Asllani could depart on loan.

Inter have already made a whopping eleven signings so far this summer after confirming the arrival of Benjamin Pavard.

However, Di Marzio expects, the Nerazzurri may not be done yet.

Inter’s business over the final couple of days left in the window could primarily concern sorting out their midfield.

According to Di Marzio, the Nerazzurri may well sign not just one more midfielder this summer – they could sign two.

Inter Milan Could Sign Both Ndombele & Lopez – Asllani Could Depart On Loan

Di Marzio confirms that both of Ndombele and Lopez are targets for Inter.

In the case of the Spurs midfielder, the fact that he is completely out of favour in North London could mean that he is a viable option on loan very late in the summer.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are in discussions to see if they can bring the Frenchman in to reinforce their midfield.

And Di Marzio also confirms that Neroverdi midfielder Lopez is a target for Inter.

Like his countryman Ndombele, Lopez would be something of an opportunistic target for the Nerazzurri. He is very keen to leave Sassuolo, but has so far remained at the Mapei Stadium.

And according to Di Marzio, Inter do not see Ndombele and Lopez as alternative targets – they could try instead to sign both.

Meanwhile, if Inter bring in one more signing in midfield, and especially if they do two, Asllani could leave on loan.

An earlier reports suggests that the Albanian could be part of a swap deal with Sassuolo for Lopez.
