Juventus are ready to rival Inter Milan to sign Albert Gudmundsson if Federico Chiesa leaves the club this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

At the moment, Genoa forward Gudmundsson looks to be one of the hot names on the transfer market in Serie A.

The Icelandic international has enjoyed an outstanding campaign in the Italian top flight. He has scored fourteen goals and assisted a further three.

Therefore, it is little surprise to see the interest in Gudmundsson’s signature start to emerge.

The club with the strongest links to Gudmundsson over the past couple of months has been Inter.

The Nerazzurri reportedly see the 26-year-old former AZ Alkmaar forward as the ideal profile to add strength in depth and versatility to their attack for next season.

Genoa want €30-35 million to sell Gudmundsson, according to Tuttosport.

Juventus To Rival Inter For Albert Gudmundsson If Federico Chiesa Leaves

Inter are hardly the only team who are eyeing up Gudmundsson, however.

There have been plenty of reports of other clubs in Serie A considering the Icelander a target.

Moreover, teams like Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly also been targeting Gudmundsson.

For his part, Gudmundsson has stated that he does not consider moving to the Premier League to be his aim. He reportedly is keen to stay in Serie A.

But from within the Italian top flight, one club in particular could really rival Inter for Gudmundsson’s signature. That is Juventus.

The reason for this is that the Bianconeri could be set to sell winger Federico Chiesa.

Roma see Chiesa as a target. As do AC Milan, in the event that Rafael Leao were to leave.

And Tuttosport report that the likes of Liverpool and Bayern Munich are also eyeing the 26-year-old up.

Therefore, if Chiesa were to leave Juventus, then Gudmundsson would be one of the main targets that the Turin giants would turn to to replace him.
