Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu has decided to start Marcus Thuram, Francesco Acerbi, and Petar Sucic in tonight’s 2025/2026 Serie A Match Day 12 clash against AC Milan.
This evening’s clash kicks off at 20:45 local time (19:45 BST) at the San Siro. Moreover, Inter will be out to end an underwhelming run of five consecutive winless games against Milan.
However, Inter’s impressive four-game winning streak across all competitions can inspire confidence around Chivu’s camp.
The visitors, meanwhile, have have drawn three of their last four league matches, derailing their spirits ahead of this showdown.
Chivu has a nearly full squad available, with Marcus Thuram back from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Inter vs AC Milan – Marcus Thuram Joins Lautaro Martinez in Attack

All eyes will be on the Inter attack, where Thuram will partner up with Lautaro Martinez.
The 28-year-old French striker, who recovered from a hamstring injury right before the international break, with regain his place in attack.
Despite Francesco Pio Esposito’s outstanding form during the break, Thuram will get the nod in the final third.
Therefore, Thuram partners El Toro from the first whistle, even at the expense of Ange-Yoan Bonny.
Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Frenchman is seeking his first goal in Serie A since scoring in a 4-3 defeat at Juventus in mid-September.
Furthermore, Thuram’s return from injury should alleviate even more pressure on El Toro.
Inter Vs AC Milan – Petar Sucic Fills In For Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Elsewhere, Cristian Chivu has opted for continuity across the pitch, keeping faith in the same structure that has brought recent success.
Yann Sommer starts in goal behind a slightly changed back three. Indeed, Francesco Acerbi gets the nod ahead of Yann Bisseck and will line up alongside Manuel Akanji and Alessandro Bastoni.
On the flanks, Carlos Augusto and Federico Dimarco provide width and attacking support.
With Denzel Dumfries injured, the Brazilian will operate as a makeshift right winger tonight.
In midfield, Nicolo Barella and Hakan Calhanoglu form a balanced duo tasked with dictating the tempo and supporting transitions both ways.
However, Inter lost veteran midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to injury a month ago.
With the 36-year-old out of contention, Petar Sucic returns to the starting lineup for the first time since Inter’s 2-1 home win over Sassuolo.
Therefore, Piotr Zielinski starts on the bench again after picking up a minor injury during the break.

Davide is not trolling after this loss, and I have not seen him around for a while. He might have been banned from the looks of it. lol
They need to start to shooting outside of the box, it’s getting ridiculous that we keep slowly trying to go into their box. Only shot i remember that was outside was dioufs and hakans.
It’s crazy that Chivu doesn’t see that yet. Only Hakan have the desire to consistently try and shoot from outside the box everyone else is so hellbent on distributing the ball on the sides. In fact the only reason Milan won is because a very mediocre player like Saladmaker decided he was going to shoot from outside the box. If it’s not Lautaro shooting in an occasion he’s outside the box no one else does it which is very frustrating to watch because if teams knows you have Dimarco they will set up to defend those crosses all match long and Milan are actually weak in cross this season but if it’s all you’ll do in attack then it becomes easy simply because that’s all they expect
So many specialists here, managers, proven top 5 leafue trainers… What are you talking about tactics ? Chivu did great, Milan didn’t have anything from this game, we had as always so many chances, but waisted them. They did nothing except having luck. Yeah we had to improvise with Augusto on the right which isn’t working cleaely, but thw rest was OK, good performance, we dominated, they had nothing, but sometimes all you need is luck. Peace out, Inter forever !
It was all good bruh. But we lost. It happens. Forza inter
Mialn seems will continue to struggle against weaker teams because those teams won’t be as wasteful and predictable as Inter. But Chivu needs to start seriously considering his formation because it’s getting too predictable that any decent team can win against Inter if they just follow a specific strategy
Milan is our boogie team now. Like juve, sassuolo, etc..
The players always clueless doesn’t have new ideas. Always play from the sides and not brave to shoot from outside the box. Just cross after cross by either dimarco or augusto. We are a predictible team unless we have to try new ideas and new formation. Chivu has to find solution.
Lookman was the solution to the predictability but Inter decided to gift Atalanta an Inter player for the whole saga. In midfield no one has the balls to shoot other than Hakan who is mostly deep but both Susic and Barella were not interested in shooting despite both having the skillset of finding space. Thuram is not 100% fit but did so much while Bony wasted a good chance and Pio did nothing. Chivu must understand that when it’s clear the opponent is waiting for you to attack them maybe try something different other than rinse and repeat the tactic that hasn’t worked so far. If Inter don’t score in the first half against a good team then it’s OVER because there’s no creativity and crosses becomes the only source of goals
“Chivu must understand that when it’s clear the opponent is waiting for you to attack”
Indeed. It was well-known that Allegri would defend well and seek to score through a counterattack. He has the likes of Pulisic, Leao and Saelesmaker for that. Chivu with his game plan played into Allegri’s strengths.
Exactly also Chivu must understand it’s better to get a draw than a loss. The match was not going anywhere with Milan knowing full well they won’t play the same counter attacking for 80+ minutes. So why Inter do the same let them exhaust their players and bring on better players with stamina no need to come out in second half exposed pressing high. Despite Inter dominance it was
Allegri who won the tactical battle here because even if Milan didn’t score he was aiming for the draw. Chivu have time to turn this terrible record tho because the players are behind him and I’m sure Inter are not as stupid as they seem to be to not add any decent reinforcements in defence in January.
Nah. Watch serie for 40 years and we’ll talk again
Like I said go suck a fat c0*k you imbecile do not reply to me. You’re insane and disgusting human being. Go get some mental help then come back talking to me. F**king moron.
Get down on the floor and begg me to leave hahahaha, cry moreee loserrrr hahahah
This line-up and the subs were a blanket statement- and a direct message from Chive to management that this is what you will get if you expect team to win titles with this bench. He proved that all good results have been heavily dependent on Inzaghi’s first 11, and once 1-2 key members of the team, in this case Mkhitaryan and Dumfries are out due to injure, this team can produce nothing short of frustration.
Side note:
Diouf was better than expected.
Akanji was great as always.
Pio had no chance to show himself.
Bonny was poorer than expected.
Pio was no show. Bony mis-hit a shot but better runs and did his job. Diuf actually didn’t do his by holding the ball too much failing to deliver a quick cross. Diuf needs to start on a matches and just the fact that he isn’t and gets used on crazy moments means he’s not good enough.
Well, we’ve lost, but who cares. It’s makes no difference to us (spectators) at all. Even if we won 5-0 it still wouldn’t affect our lives. After all, stupid, brainless, uneducated Diouf still earns more money than all of us here combined.
Next weekend we’ll be here again, supporting Inter. Chill boys, it’s not the end of the world.
True brother. In 2 weeks we’ll top again. Fok mulan. Forza inter. And fok sozza
Guzo is my new fav boy
Thanks bro
This is Italy where even the “Big teams” play catenacchio. Disgusting Milan.
Inter have completely dominated every match they lost but it is so obvious when playing against these catenacchio sides Inter cannot find a way and keeps doing the same Inzaghi-style. From side to side and backwards – so predictable!
In the second half Napoli clearly outplayed us, so you can’t say we dominated them.
Look at the stats. 2nd half vs. Napoli:
Napoli: xG = 0,34, Inter: xG = 1,02.
So yes Inter should have scored much more but Napoli just scored on every shot on goal.
No I don’t think so the goals they scored were out of nothing. Just like tonight against Milan. Inter just get too predictable in their attacks and opponents find a way in the middle and score. Plus somehow thye know Inter are toothless in big matches because the amount of mishit even when inside the opposition box is laughable. Inter lose while creating so many chances
True. But we lost. We’ll top them in fewweeks. So chill brother. Forza inter
Sommer once again costs Inter that was a terrible save. But then again tonight Inter would’ve not win even if they played extra 20 minutes. It turns out Dumfries miss was a big hole and just like Napoli Inter lost when they controlled the match but lose on key moments. Inter are not as direct as Chivu would want them to be against good sides it was annoying to see not a single player trying to shoot but rather just going sideways and hoping for a cross
Dont talk shit about my boys. Dont like it – go support psg. Now fok off hater. Forza inter
Chivu does not do well against big teams/direct rivals. This is his weakest point.
Diouf was better tonight. Apart from that goal vs Roma, Bonny is not effective in difficult games.
The 4 remaining games in the UCL will be interesting. We could even come out with 0 points from them, given Chivu’s difficulties against big teams.
It’s not chivu… at parma he could beat teams. The team itself doesn’t do good against top serie a sides. it was the same exact thing last year
That willchange. Calma. Forza inter
Well, Direct-Rival-Itus strikes again!! The one thing that Chivu has yet to find the cure for…. Quite clear what the problem is- yet again!! Against Juve, Napoli, and now Milan, pretty much every shot of any note has resulted in a goal…..
Tale of 2 Keepers… Magic Mike pulls of 4 or 5 outstanding saves…. Milan have 1 pea roller from 25 yards,, and Sommer palms it straight to Pulisic…. We never learn…. just let players play on waaaay past their best….
Another loss from a direct competitor. With worse subs and same starters Inzaghi was able to make this team over perform. Chances are being created, yet no one is a reliable finisher. Chivu must fix the defense and instruct players to do something other than just cross from the wide areas.
We need an alternative formation to the 3-5-2. We really lacked creativity against a Milan that had no interest in attacking or even scoring. They took the one chance they had and sat back smh. Chivu needs to find an alternative solution and pretty quick because we have many difficult games ahead.
95minutes of my life want back. 🙁
You can always go support psg looser
Suck my fat c0*k loser
Pathetic and weak little minds. You losers can’t win jack. Absolutely retched mentality. Go back to ur holes u frauds
Guy, you get problems oo
Lmao alright, keep watching inter lose to the big teams in Serie A and be happy lmao. It’s true just like the national team they have a horrid mentality and collapse under pressure
You can always gag on my dong jack. Looser gobi foker
nothing to gag on lil guy
Expected loss. Although we were unlucky but Inter with luck or no always lose against strong sides. Roma is exception.
We were unlucky bro. Fokin post
zielinski gets a lot of stick but he needs to start ahead of chala.
No. Hakan is game. Chill. We’re still near top
How do u sky that bonny
It seems harder to sky it actually since any decent touch with conviction to score then at least he hits the target.
Chivu frustrates me with his subs why take off barella?? He’s the only one running!! Ffs chivuuu
Nah bruh. Sozza. Thats your problem
Tariq. You should jump in front of the train mofo. No one likes you goba
The whole community hates you tariq. Go gag on aniegli parts. No inter fan wanna talk to you donkey. Sad rube foker. Waiting here to ragebait. We all hope you just roll over and stfu. Gnome
Ahahahahaha cry me a river loser. I will never leave. Get down on the floor and begg hahahaahahah
Barella is the only guy to show up and you take him off for Diouf ?!? Wtaf
Gonna try something
champions league game coming
So formation now 4-3-3?
No buddy. We went all in for 10 min . No 4 def game for bisconte. Forza inter brother. Its just a shit loss
Sell Hakan, Toro, and the oldies next season. We need a complete overhaul. I’m tired of watching every game against Milan that leads to defeat. This probably 6th defeat against Milan. I am sick and tired.
This is the fourth game. In the other six, we drew. For a team that had six consecutive wins, this is unacceptable. This Milan team is very weak.
Yeah sell the 4th top scorer all time for the club, and your captain… nice one
Doesn’t mean shit. We always lose against Milan. We need fresh blood.
what a game so far.. we are so dearly missing the killer Instinct.
Yea mentally we are so weak. No urgency in anything we do. Everything looks like a friendly.
True. We missed a lot. Could have won this
Hakan was trolled by Maigan and he fell for it.That wasn’t a good penalty anyone could guess where he was going to hit
Chala is so dumb he thinks GKs don’t know he always shoot to his left? What a dumbass.
Wanna go play? Dont diss my team foker
Get him the fuck off the pitch. 1 thing which should be reliable in, even that screwed up.
Challa, besides having a terrible game, also managed to miss a penalty, which is his specialty. What a dreadful derby from Inter.
Go watch your psg and stfu
Ffs that was so obvious, gk knows he goes there AND stands the other side baiting him.
Hakan should be better than that, see it and lift the damn ball
Super obvious.
Actually at the very least hit it first time with the right power but the blip meant the keeper was already half way through to getting it there.
Yes. But he didnt. So chill. It was a soft pen anyway
Hakan misses, like what more does this inter team want to be able to score?? No this team is bad. Really bad.
Hakan* bad
He missed 2 in 4 years. Wanna get your facts right dumbassss
And hes missed
Wow the keeper has been the difference for Milan. It’s crazy!
This Susic, who many praised, is just sideways passes and nothing more. They brought in this L. Henrique guy, who in the little he played, showed nothing, just to improvise with C. Augusto at right-back, lol. It’s hard to understand certain signings by Marotta.
excluding bonny and Akanji. all the rest such
sure, you can judge them based on one match, one particular match where the opposite keeper is having a game of his life. everyone on Inter will looked stupid and sad.
or you can judge them again when the season is over.
Which game of his life? The team barely created any chances, lol. You must be watching a different game. Marotta’s recent signings have been terrible.
susic is playing very well
Magic mike set up Hakan too good
It’s gonna snow if this ref is gonna reward us with a penalty
Yo We suck.
We need Mkhitaryan so bad. This midfield is dead af.
Team made bunch of oldies. No speed, no hunger, not motivated. Just walk in the park.
Every bloody game!!
Speed on the counter kills us….
This teams tries to walk the ball in the net… shoot the damn ball.
Yes but they are afraid to shoot only Hakan can do that.
Another classic match by without a win against Milan. Challa loves losing those balls in midfield, and I also thought Sommer made a mistake.
Milan took their chance and scored. Inter need probably 100 chances to only score 1goal. Bravo. We’ll done inter.
Once again lost ball in the middle by Hakan, same as many times last season. Sommer too short and much slower reflexes. If only we can swap gks
Goal from nothing and of course its from a counter
Sommer is slow
I hope it’s not gonna be another season of not beating a top Serie A team lmao.
We did beat Roma. haha
Bro fuck off
Challa has been slow today, Barella has been confused as usual and Susic is still finding himself. 3-5-2 is a system that is heavily dependent on 3 central midfielders, and when they’re not having their top game, the team that has implemented that system works like a broken clock.
We urgently need 2-3 sharp, fast, strong and brave-enough-to-dribble midfielders.
Overall, it was a pretty ugly game from both teams.
having difficulty to finish off chances as usual, let’s hope we won’t regret this during the second half. seems like they are waiting for us to slip up in concentration.
Without Dumfries, the team becomes too dependent on Dimarco. C. Augusto isn’t suited to play in that position. Since Inzaghi’s time, we haven’t had many creative plays through the middle. Another one who’s playing poorly is Susic. We were better in the first half, but with a lot of difficulty creating chances.
Augusto tho is more defensively solid and have intensity even tho he clearly struggles in that position by being too dependent on Barella. I don’t think he attempted a single cross. He’s also a goal scorer tho so lets hope he can shoot or head the ball into the back of the net.
It has been a poor performance from both teams. They came for a draw and we have no second wave of attack for the balls.
Yes I do understand that Dimarco can provide a great cross but must it be everytime Inter receives the ball in dangerous position they feed him the ball. Why not Susic aligns himself and actually try and shoot
2 good saves by Maignan and 1 sidebar. We are better, just need improved finishing
Milan literaly have no midfield since Rabiot and Modric can barely walk.
Thuram and Lautaro should press Maignan and Milans back line a bit more.
Been a bit boring this far. We need some trickery and proactive plays during the second half. Our players are terrified of carrying the ball in tight spaces, this needs to change.
Inter are getting in good positions but it’ve predictive when they are in those positions just give the ball to Dimarco strategy everytime. No one has the realisation that they can try and shoot from outside the box like it seems only Hakan can do it. I think however Inter should try to win more corners
Thuram’s aerial game has been insane lately
Bring in Dumfries out Augusto
Bring in Zeilnski out susic
Bro omg why is maginan so good
As soon as Pulisic realizes Acerbi is letting him turn around and run with the ball we’re done.
Apparently pulling players by their arms is allowed in serie A
Anyone knows what’s the status of Maignans contract? Any way Marotta can persuade him to sign with us on free transfer.
It seems that he will leave on a free next summer. He wants a bigger salary than the one offered by Milan.
Personally, I’d have gone with Bisseck against Milans pace, but in Chivu I trust…. Let’s Gooooooo!!!!! FORZA INTER!!!!
Personally, I’d have gone with Bisseck against Milans pace, but in Chivu I trust…. Let’s Fookin Gooooooo!!!!! FORZA INTER!!!!
Forza Inter
Inter Primavera, Inter U23 and Inter Women all won.
