Inter Milan are thinking about joining their city rivals AC Milan in the race to sign USMNT and Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reported live on air moments ago via FCInterNews that the Nerazzurri could go after the 20-year-old should they miss out on Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi.

Inter will certainly make at least one big midfield signing this summer.

Marcelo Brozovic is likely to depart, whilst Roberto Gagliardini certainly will.

Sassuolo and Italy star Frattesi has been the Nerazzurri’s top target in midfield for a few weeks now.

However, the Nerazzurri could miss out on the 23-year-old due to the Neroverdi’s high asking price. Sassuolo reportedly want at least €40 million for Frattesi.

Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is one player who Inter are reportedly ready to turn their attention to.

However, he is not the only one according to Di Marzio.

Inter Join AC Milan In The Race For USMNT Star Musah

According to Di Marzio, Inter are thinking about rivalling their city rivals Milan for 20-year-old Valencia midfielder Musah.

The American has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar for some time.

This summer, it has so far mainly been Milan who have looked interested in bringing Musah to the San Siro. However, Di Marzio reports, they are not the only ones.

The Nerazzurri have already beaten their city rivals to one transfer target this summer in the form of Marcus Thuram.

They could aim to repeat the trick by swooping in for Musah. Only, however, if they are to fail to sign Frattesi.

According to Di Marzio, Inter’s interest has not yet taken off that much.

A big part of the reason for that is that Valencia are still hoping for a big fee to sell Musah this summer.

However, the Nerazzurri do consider the US international an idea.
