Inter Milan are yet to decide on the futures of striker Edin Dzeko, defenders Stefan de Vrij or Danilo D’Ambrosio, or goalkeeper and captain Samir Handanovic.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Inter are close to wrapping up agreements with defender Alessandro Bastoni and Hakan Calhanoglu on new contracts, according to Sky.

The pair’s deals each expire at the end of next June. However, the Nerazzurri don’t want to wait anywhere near that long. The club’s plan is to put the finishing touches on new deals for both Bastoni and Calhanoglu imminently.

However, the situation is a bit different for four players whose deals run out at the end of next month.

According to Sky, Inter still haven’t made a final decision regarding Dzeko, de Vrij, D’Ambrosio, or Handanovic.

Decision Yet To Be Made On Dzeko, De Vrij, D’Ambrosio & Handanovic

According to Sky, all four of the quartet could still either stay or go.

Free transfer exits would be possible, but the contract extension negotiations are also ongoing.

In all four cases, the Nerazzurri prefer to wait a while before they firm anything up regarding the players’ futures.

In the case of Dzeko, Inter are reportedly leaning towards extending the Bosnian’s deal. However, for this to happen they would first have to finish in the top four of the Serie A table.

Meanwhile, de Vrij has reportedly been close to accepting a new two-year deal. However, Villarreal also lurk in the background with interest in signing the 31-year-old former Lazio defender.

Veteran defender Danilo D’Ambrosio could be offered a new deal. However, there is no rush even as the player gets close to the end of his current contract.

Lastly, Nerazzurri captain Samir Handanovic could remain. However, only on reduced wages.
