Lazio could offer Inter Milan wingback Manuel Lazzari to Inter Milan as part of a deal for youngster Giovanni Fabbian.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Il Messaggero, via FCInter1908, who report that the 29-year-old could be part of a player exchange also including Biancocelesti-owned Inter defender Francesco Acerbi this summer.

Lazzari has been on Inter’s radar for some time. The former SPAL wingback would be well-suited to Inter’s 3-5-2 system of play. Moreover, Lazzari has already played under Inter coach Simone Inzaghi before.

Whilst the Italy international had looked at home in Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 formation, he has sometimes been the odd man out during Maurizio Sarri’s tenure at the Stadio Olimpico.

Accordingly, the Biancocelesti could offer Lazzari as part of a player exchange for young midfielder Fabbian.

Lazio Could Offer Lazzari + Acerbi To Inter As Part Of Deal For Fabbian

Fabbian has been in outstanding form on loan with Reggina this season.

Lazio have taken interest. Their plan could be to entice the Nerazzurri by including players going the other way in their offer.

It has already been reported that Lazio are thinking of offering Acerbi. The 35-year-old is currently on loan at Inter. The Nerazzurri want to sign Acerbi permanently, but aren’t keen on paying the €4 million purchase option in his loan deal.

However, the defender, who’s been key to Inter’s run to the Champions League final, may not be the only player on offer. Il Messaggero report that Lazzari could also be used as a makeweight in a deal for Fabbian.

Napoli are also reportedly admirers of Fabbian. So are Atalanta. Inter could offer Fabbian as part of a cash-plus-player deal for La Dea defender Giorgio Scalvini.

Meanwhile, some reports have also emerged that Fabbian could already be brought back into the Nerazzurri’s first team. The young midfielder could be seen as ready to replace Roberto Gagliardini in the squad.
