Barcelona have rejected the chance to sign either Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries or forward Joaquin Correa as part of a deal for midfielder Franck Kessie during the summer transfer window.

This according to Spanish news outlet Sport, who report that the Blaugranas have little interest in the Nerazzurri duo and only want cash for Kessie.

Inter and Barcelona are reportedly still in talks regarding a possible transfer of midfielder Kessie. The two clubs will meet after the Champions League final.

Part of the Nerazzurri’s strategy to try and sign the 26-year-old former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder has been to offer players in return as part of a deal.

Barcelona Not Interested In Either Dumfries Or Correa As Part Of Kessie Deal

One player who Inter have reportedly offered Barcelona is wingback Denzel Dumfries.

The 27-year-old Dutch international is also on the radar of Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United.

The former PSV man’s name has perpetually come up as a possible big name departure from Inter this summer.

However, according to Sport, Barcelona are not overly keen on signing Dumfries. The La Liga champions want a straight cash offer and won’t take Dumfries as part of a deal for Kessie.

The same is true of former Lazio, Sevilla, and Sampdoria forward Joaquin Correa.

The 28-year-old is a player who looks very likely to leave Inter over the summer.

Correa has never really hit the level expected of him since joining Inter from the Biancoclesti in the summer of 2021. Accordingly, the Nerazzurri are likely to try and find a new club for the Argentine during the transfer window.

However, Sport report that Barcelona are not keen on signing Correa as part of a deal for Kessie.

Kessie joined Barcelona from Inter’s city rivals AC Milan on a free transfer last summer.

Despite arriving with high hopes, the 26-year-old has not been a regular starter for Xavi’s team.
