Inter Milan are willing to use a cash-plus-player offer to try and get a deal done to sign midfielder Davide Frattesi from Sassuolo this summer.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri could offer striker Samuele Mulattieri and midfielder Giovanni Fabbian as part of a deal for the 23-year-old.
Interest in Frattesi is starting to pick up in view of the upcoming summer transfer window.
Juventus are keen on signing the Neroverdi midfielder as part of their midfield rebuild.
Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove Albion are looking to bring the 23-year-old to the Premier League. Roberto De Zerbi could play a decisive influence in his club’s chase of Frattesi.
The Sassuolo midfielder is also a target for Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain.
Inter are also very much keen on signing the 23-year-old as a long-term midfield reinforcement.
The Nerazzurri are well aware of the difficulty in making a deal for Frattesi given the rising competition and potential price tag involved. However, they have a plan to try and beat the competition.
Inter Could Offer Mulattieri & Fabbian As Part Of Deal For Frattesi
According to Sky, Inter are very keen to try and entice Sassuolo with a player-plus-cash offer.
The Nerazzurri’s plan involves offering young players as part of a deal. The Neroverdi’s strategy of developing young players is well-known, and they could take an interest in a couple jewels from Inter’s academy.
Striker Mulattieri is one possibility. The 22-year-old has played a starring role for Frosinone as they’ve achieved promotion from Serie B this season.
Meanwhile, Inter could also offer Fabbian.
The 20-year-old is one of the most highly-rated prospects from the Nerazzurri’s academy. All of Lazio, Napoli, and Atalanta are keen on signing him.
According to Sky, Roma are also thinking of a similar strategy to sign Frattesi. The broadcaster report that the Giallorossi could offer highly-rated teenage midfielder Cristian Volpato plus cash for Frattesi.
