Inter Milan are likely to loan out young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian to a team in Serie A for next season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s plan is to get the 20-year-old some top flight experience in a loan move in Serie A rather than selling him permanently this summer.

Fabbian is back at Inter after a stellar season on loan with Reggina.

The 20-year-old was named as the Calabrian club’s best player of the season. He shone as one of the outstanding young midfielders in Serie B.

This was Fabbian’s first season within the senior professional game, and he has aced the test. This followed Fabbian’s exploits in Inter’s Primavera team in the season prior.

The next step for the young Inter midfielder will be the top flight.

Tuttosport report that Fabbian is indeed very likely to be playing Serie A football next season.

Inter Milan To Loan Out Giovanni Fabbian – Sassuolo Among Possible Options

Inter’s priority will be to loan out Fabbian for a season.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a club in which the young midfielder can grow without too much pressure.

In this sense, Sassuolo are a natural destination. The Neroverdi are renowned for their ability to develop young talent and allow them to take the next step.

Moreover, Inter and Sassuolo are in very active talks for midfielder Davide Frattesi.

Therefore, Fabbian’s name could certainly come up between the two clubs. Particularly as the Neroverdi will want a like-for-like replacement for 23-year-old Italy star Frattesi.

Other Possibilities For Fabbian’s Future

Tuttosport report that a loan move isn’t the only potential option for Fabbian’s future.

On the one hand, Inter won’t want to part ways with such a promising young players. On the other hand, a big cash offer similar to Chelsea’s for Cesare Casadei last summer could certainly tempt them.

All of Napoli, Lazio, and Atalanta are reportedly fans of Fabbian.

Another possibility would be for Fabbian to stay in Inter’s senior squad for next season.

The imminent departure of Roberto Gagliardini will open up a slot in midfield. The Nerazzurri could decide to promote within rather than dipping into the transfer market to replace the 29-year-old former Atalanta man.

What seems clear, in any event, is that Fabbian will be playing top flight football in the upcoming season.
