Inter Milan linked Arsenal and USMNT striker Folarin Balogun has made it clear that he won’t be leaving on loan anymore.

Speaking to US news outlet Goal.com, the 21-year-old made clear that if and when he leaves the Gunners, it should be on a permanent transfer and not another loan.

Arsenal-owned striker Folarin Balogu had a real breakout campaign on loan with Reims in the season just gone.

He scored 21 goals in 37 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.

Balogun will return to North London, but the Gunners are expected to sell Balogun this summer now that his value has risen. The Nerazzurri are keen, although they could have to go head-to-head with city rivals AC Milan.

Inter Linked Arsenal Star Folarin Balogun Not Expecting Another Loan Move

Inter have reportedly made Balogun a target for this summer.

Given that Joaquin Correa are is expected to leave and Edin Dzeko will follow the Argentine out the exit door leaving on a free transfer, Inter will have a couple vacancies to fill in the striker positions.

Moreover, it’s still not certain that Romelu Lukaku will come back on loan from Chelsea again.

Therefore, apart from Lautaro Martinez, it’s very up in the air what Inter’s strike force will look like next season.

As such, the Nerazzurri are on the hunt for a big attacking signing ahead of next season. In this season, Balogun would look like a natural target.

The 21-year-old has proven his quality at the top-flight level with Reims.

And as far as Balogun himself is concerned, he expects to join a new club on a permanent basis.

Asked about his future, the US international said “I’m not sure [about] the discussions that are going to take place.”

“I’m not sure what’s going to happen. But I’m just committed to now; I try to stay present.”

“I obviously want to enjoy the moment with my team and my family,” the Arsenal man said. “What I can say is that I definitely won’t go on loan again.”

Prior to last season on loan with Reims, Balogun had also spent the second half of the previous campaign at Middlesbrough.
