Salernitana are keen to sign young Inter Milan midfielder Giovanni Fabbian on loan for the upcoming season.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Granata are ready to make the Nerazzurri an offer to loan the 20-year-old.
Fabbian is hot property following his outstanding season out on loan with Reggina in Serie B.
The young midfielder had shone for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera team during the prior campaign. However, he made the step up to senior football very well, never looking out of place playing for Reggina.
The Inter midfielder was named as the Calabrian team’s best player of the season.
Now, Inter have a decision to make about what comes next for Fabbian.
All of Napoli, Lazio, and Atalanta are reportedly fans of the 20-year-old.
Another possibility would be for Fabbian to stay in Inter’s senior squad for next season.
The imminent departure of Roberto Gagliardini will open up a slot in midfield. The Nerazzurri could decide to promote within rather than dipping into the transfer market to replace the 29-year-old former Atalanta man.

However, another possibility would be for Fabbian to go out on loan again.
This would almost certainly be to a team in the top flight. The Nerazzurri will want the 20-year-old to keep growing and developing.
Fabbian’s season with Reggina was a clear indication that he is already ready to start playing at the Serie A level.
Now it could be up to some top flight clubs to start coming forward with interest.
And, according to Tuttosport, one already has.
The newspaper report that Salernitana are big fans of Fabbian. Granata Sporting Director Morgan De Sanctis is hoping to sign the young Nerazzurri star on loan for the upcoming season.
