Inter Milan are ready to offer players plus cash to sign Newcastle and Fiorentina linked Monza wingback Carlos Augusto.

This according to Italian news outlet MBNews.it, who report that the 24-year-old’s club only want cash, however.

Carlos Augusto has been one of the breakout stars of this Monza team in the season just gone.

August helped Monza achieve promotion to Serie A, and then shone in his first season in the top flight.

Augusto has been a key player for Monza particularly in attack. He has made 35 appearances in Serie A for Raffaele Palladino’s side.

In the process, the Brazilian has managed six goals and five assists.

This has led Inter to see the Brazilian as a logical replacement for Robin Gosens. It has also prompted Fiorentina into targeting Augusto.

Apart from confirming that the Nerazzurri and La Viola are keen on Augusto, MBNews also reports that Premier League side Newcastle United are also considering the 24-year-old a target, whilst teams from the Turkish Super Lig have also sat up and taken notice.

Inter Milan Could Offer Monza Players + Cash For Newcastle Target Carlos Augusto

Inter are thinking about ways to meet Monza’s asking price for Augusto.

Considering the Brazilian’s form last season, he will not come cheap.

According to MBNews, Inter could offer midfielder Stefano Sensi as part of a deal for Augusto. The 27-year-old former Sassuolo midfielder spent the season just gone on loan with the Brianzoli.

Inter are ready to offer the player to Monza on a permanent basis as part of a deal for Augusto.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri could even offer young midfielder Giovanni Fabbian as part of a deal.

However, MBNews report, the Brianzoli have little interest in any such offers. Their priority is to cash in on Augusto for as high of a fee as possible.

Monza have to sign the likes of Alessio Cragno and Matteo Pessina on a permanent basis, and need cash to do so.

Moreover, MBNews report, the Lombard club will owe 40% of any fee for Augusto to his former club Corinthians.
