Italian journalist Stefano Agresti expects that Inter Milan will complete the signing of Davide Frattesi once they sell Marcelo Brozovic.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Radio, via FCInter1908, Agresti suggested that the departure of Brozovic will be a trigger for the Nerazzurri to immediately make their decisive move to finalize a detail for the 23-year-old Sassuolo midfielder.

Inter are pushing to sign Neroverdi and Italy star Davide Frattesi for next season.

The Azzurri man has emerged as a key target for Inter as they aim to strengthen in midfield. He can provide both immediate quality as well as freshen up an aging squad.

However, the Nerazzurri will have to beat Juventus, Roma, AC Milan, and Lazio to Frattesi’s signature. The race for the 23-year-old’s signature has been heating up in the past couple of weeks.

During the period, a number of meetings have taken place. Sassuolo have met with several clubs as well as with Frattesi’s agent to work out the player’s future.

Inter Milan Want To Sell Marcelo Brozovic Then Immediately Sign Davide Frattesi

A key part of Inter’s plan to sign Frattesi has always looked to be selling Marcelo Brozovic first.

The Croat’s departure would free up space in the Nerazzurri’s squad for the Neroverdi man. Moreover, the fee from a sale of Brozovic would give Inter the cash they need to make a deal for Frattesi.

Now Brozovic looks to be on the verge of a move to Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr.

Inter will reportedly pocket around €23 million from the deal. This will be enough to allow them to move for Frattesi.

According to Agresti, once this happens Inter won’t waste any time. They will reinvest the fee for Brozovic by signing the Sassuolo star.

“Frattesi wants to go to Inter,” the journalist said. “Partly due to tactical reasons, his role.”

“As soon as the money from Brozovic’s sale money arrives, Inter can close the deal with Sassuolo.”

He then observed, “I don’t understand how everyone is trying to sign Frattesi, and nobody is trying to sign Milinkovic-Savic.”
