Barcelona are ready to offer €18 million to Inter Milan to try and beat Al-Nassr to the signing of Marcelo Brozovic.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Blaugranas are still hopeful of landing the 30-year-old Croatian international midfielder, although they cannot match Al-Nassr’s offer to Inter.

Brozovic’s move to Al-Nassr no longer looks anywhere near inevitable.

The two clubs met yesterday afternoon. They all but shook hands on a deal for Brozovic.

However, the green light from the player concerned is still missing. Without the Croat’s approval, there will be no sale to the Saudi Pro League club.

Brozovic has reportedly also made new wage demands. Whilst Al-Nassr are offering a three-year contract worth €20 million net per season, Brozovic wants a two-year deal worth €30 million net per season.

In the meantime, Barcelona are still very much interested in signing Brozovic. According to Sky, the Blaugranas’ interest is a big part of the reason why the 30-year-old is currently reluctant to give the go-ahead to an Al-Nassr move.

Barcelona Ready To Make An Offer To Inter Milan For Marcelo Brozovic

If Barcelona want to sign Brozovic, they’ll have to negotiate with Inter. According to Sky, the La Liga champions would offer just €18 million, significantly less than Al-Nassr.

It remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri would accept a bid this size for Brozovic.

Meanwhile, to the player, the Blaugranas would also offer quite a bit less than Al-Nassr.

Barcelona are prepared to offer Brozovic a deal worth between €7 million and €9 million net per season.

The Catalan giants have made signing a replacement for club legend Sergio Busquets a priority for this summer transfer window.

Having seemingly missed out on Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich and Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimenti, the Blaugranas have been ready to turn to Brozovic.

This situation could also impact Inter’s pursuit of Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi. The Nerazzurri are reportedly ready to move for the 23-year-old once they complete a deal for Frattesi.
