Joaquin Correa could be in for an exit from Inter Milan during the final weeks of this summer transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that it is likely that the 28-year-old will leave the Nerazzurri this summer, but that it may not happen immediately.

Joaquin Correa has looked very likely to leave Inter during the summer transfer window.

Whilst the Argentine arrived from Lazio with big expectations attached during the summer of 2021, he has failed to make the expected impact in his two seasons at Inter.

Injuries have played a major role in limiting Correa’s contribution and form.

Accordingly, a departure looks to be on the cards for the 28-year-old. However, what is less certain is where his next club will be.

As of yet, there have not been any clear developments towards an imminent Nerazzurri exit for Correa.

Joaquin Correa Could Leave Inter Milan Late In Transfer Window

So far Fenerbahce have shown an interest in signing Correa. However, the player has rejected the possibility.

Meanwhile, Premier League duo West Ham United and Everton reportedly consider the Argentine to be a target.

And reports suggest that the player himself would prefer a move to a different team within Serie A.

Accordingly, Inter may have to patiently scan the market or wait for a team to come forward. To date, there have been no concrete leads that would seem to put Correa on the verge of leaving Inter in one particular direction or another.

This may come later on in the transfer window.

There are still nearly two months to go before the window slams shut. Accordingly, Correa’s future may well be decided in the final weeks before deadline day.

Meanwhile, the likes of Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto and Hertha Berlin’s Dodi Lukebakio are on Inter’s shortlist of possible replacements for Correa.
