Inter Milan are ready to go after Alvaro Morata, Gianluca Scamacca, or Folarin Balogun in attack now that their move for Romelu Lukaku looks dead in the water.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who name the trio as potential striker targets for the Nerazzurri with Lukaku off the table.

After a sensational turn of events in the past few days, it now looks very unlikely that Inter will move for Lukaku.

The Nerazzurri have informed the player directly that they don’t have any intention of signing him. This comes after the Nerazzurri discovered the extent of the Belgian’s negotiations with Juventus.

Therefore, unless things change quickly, Inter will not sign Lukaku.

What this means is that the Nerazzurri will have to sign a different striker.

The Nerazzurri have Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram as attacking options for next season. Then, there’s Joaquin Correa, whose future at the club is very much in the balance.

Considering Inter will want to head into next season with four options in attack, they must sign a striker. And their plan is to move for a player with roughly similar characteristics to Lukaku.

Inter Milan Looking At Morata, Scamacca & Balogun As Possible Attacking Options

One idea that the Nerazzurri have to reinforce the striker position with Lukaku off the table is Gianluca Scamacca.

The Italian international had already been a target for the Nerazzurri last summer.

Scamacca instead made the switch to West Ham United. However, he has not exactly hit the ground running in East London and could very well leave after one season.

Inter could decide to capitalize on the 24-year-old’s situation by swooping.

Alternatively, Tuttosport report, Inter would be interested in signing Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard would bring plenty of Serie A experience from his two seasons with Juventus.

Lastly, Tuttosport names Arsenal starlet Folarin Balogun as a possible target.
