The agent of Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero has confirmed that a move to Inter Milan this summer is a serious possibility.

Speaking after a meeting at the Nerazzurri’s headquarters, as reported by Gianlucadimarzio.com, the 26-year-old’s agent Tullio Tinti acknowledged that the talks are ongoing and that a move is well within the realm of possibility.

Audero looks to have risen to the top of Inter’s list of potential backup goalkeepers for next season.

Yann Sommer has already arrived from Bayern Munich, and should be the first-choice option.

However, reports widely suggest that the Nerazzurri will not stop with Sommer. They also need to sign a keeper to back up the starter, with Samir Handanovic having also left.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s Anatoliy Trubin and Athletico Paranaense’s Bento have both been linked.

However, in the case of the former the Nerazurri look set to miss out as the 21-year-old is close to joining Benfica.

And in the case of the latter, the Brazilian is likely more of an option for next season. Paranaense’s Sporting Director has confirmed that Bento is “not for sale” this summer.

Agent Of Emil Audero Confirms Inter Milan Move A Serious Possibility

That has left Sampdoria keeper Audero.

A summer move for the 26-year-old has always looked likely considering that the Blucerchiati were relegated last season.

Inter are not the only club who want to sign Audero. Lazio and Fiorentina also reportedly consider the Italian a major target.

But Tinti has made no attempt to hide the fact that Inter are going after Audero.

There would still be work to do to get a deal over the line with Sampdoria. But from the perspective of Audero and his agent, they consider a move to Inter a real possibility for this summer.

Asked if there’s interest from Inter in his client, Tinti replied that “Yes, it’s more than just an idea.”

And regarding whether the move can happen, the agent said “Sure. It would be a great opportunity for the goalkeeper and for Inter. He’s done very well in the past few seasons.”

As for whether or not the deal could end up being a loan move, Tinti said “I don’t know about that. For that you’d have to ask the clubs.”
