Inter Milan have made Atalanta an offer for defender Giorgio Scalvini as they continue to wait on Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the Nerazzurri have tabled a bid of €30 million plus €3 million in add-ons for the 19-year-old, whilst La Dea want €50 million.

Inter are still trying to sign Bayern Munich defender Pavard.

However, the clock is ticking and that move is still proving to be difficult to get over the line.

The Nerazzurri have already agreed on a fee with Bayern. And reports from Germany suggest that Pavard himself is virtually going on “strike” to force the Bavarians to green light his transfer to Inter.

However, so far Bayern have proven unwilling to release Pavard – they are still waiting to sign a replacement.

Therefore, Mediaset report, Inter are considering alternatives.

Torino’s Perr Schuurs has been linked as one of the Nerazzurri’s main backup targets to Pavard. But according to Mediaset, they have also moved for another defender within Serie A.

Inter Milan Bid For Atalanta Defender Scalvini As Pavard Deal Yet To Progress

According to Mediaset, Inter have made a formal offer to Atalanta for Scalvini.

The broadcaster reports that the Nerazzurri have put €30 million plus €3 million on the table to sign the Italian international.

This is almost identical to the fee Inter have agreed with Bayern for Pavard. In fact, it is €1 million more factoring in add-ons.

However, Mediaset reports, Inter have received a negative response from Atalanta.

The Bergamo-based club value Scalvini considerably higher than the Nerazzurri’s bid.

Apart from Inter, the likes of Atletico Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Juventus all want Scalvini.

The competition could be fierce, and Atalanta could hope for a bidding war.

Therefore, the defender’s club are seeking a fee of no less than €50 million if they are to sell him.
