Inter Milan have told Man United that goalkeeper Andre Onana will cost at least €50 million this summer transfer window.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who also report that the Nerazzurri are targeting Empoli keeper Guglielmo Vicario as a replacement if they decide to accept an offer from United for Onana.
Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly thinking about reigniting their pursuit of Inter keeper Onana.
It would take a significant offer to turn the Nerazzurri’s head.
The Cameroonian may have only joined Inter from Ajax on a free transfer over the summer. However, his performances in his first campaign fro the Nerazzurri have really caught the eye.
Onana has made a total of forty appearances for Inter across his first season at the club. This has seen him displace club captain Samir Handanovic as the first-choice option in goal.
Thee 27-year-old’s performances in the Champions League have particularly won him admirers.
Inter Milan Open To Offers From Man United For Andre Onana
According to the Gazzetta, however, it is not as though Inter consider Onana unsellable.
This could be big news for Man United.
The Red Devils are looking for a goalkeeper to potentially replace David De Gea.
Onana, who is also a target for Chelsea, looks to be one of the first names on the Red Devils’ list. Inter are waiting to see whether United come in with a big offer.
United are yet to come in with an offer. However, the Gazzetta report, Inter have put a number on what it would take to sign Onana.
United must offer at least €50 million for the Cameroonian.
Nerazzurri Want Vicario As Replacement If Onana Leaves
The Gazzetta also confirm widespread reports that Inter know exactly who they’ll go after if they sell Onana.
Empoli star Guglielmo Vicario is the player who Inter want to take the former Ajax keeper’s place.
The Nerazzurri have the 26-year-old at the top of their shortlist. He is favoured over Marco Carnesecchi and Giorgio Mamardashvili.
