Lecce are among the clubs interested in signing Inter Milan starlet Giovanni Fabbian on loan, but could struggle to find the right formula.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper reports that the Calabrian club’s insistence on a purchase option could scupper their pursuit of the young Nerazzurri midfielder.

Fabbian is hot property following his outstanding season out on loan with Reggina in Serie B.

The young midfielder had shone for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera team during the prior campaign. However, he made the step up to senior football very well, never looking out of place playing for Reggina.

The 20-year-old will not be without suitors for the upcoming season.

The Inter midfielder was named as the Calabrian team’s best player of the season.

Now, Inter have a decision to make about what comes next for Fabbian.

All of Napoli, Lazio, and Atalanta are reportedly fans of the 20-year-old.

Why Lecce Could Miss Out On Signing Inter Milan Starlet Giovanni Fabbian

The queue is starting to form to sign Fabbian on loan.

This is the likeliest next step for the 20-year-old who has already shone in his first loan spell within senior football. Having looked exceptional in Serie B, he is ready for the top flight.

Bologna and Salernitana are interested. Meanwhile, Serie A new boys Genoa and Frosinone are among the teams who could bring Fabbian up along with them, as they are interested in the Inter midfielder as part of their summer squad reinforcements.

Lecce are also strongly interested in Fabbian’s signature.

The Giallorossi are pushing as hard as anyone to sign the 20-year-old.

However, a key stumbling block to a deal would be Lecce’s insistence on including a purchase option in a loan deal. This could also include a buyback option for Inter.

Whilst Lecce prefer to do loan deals this way, Inter’s plan is clear. They want to send Fabbian out on a one-season dry loan.
