Inter Milan will wrap up the signing of Germany under-21 defender Yann Bisseck from Aarhus sometime early next week.
This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, who reports on his homepage that next week will be the time for the 22-year-old to complete his medicals and sign his contract with the Nerazzurri.
Bisseck has been one of the first players who Inter have worked to sign for this summer transfer window.
The Nerazzurri have identified the former Koln youth academy product as an ideal young defensive reinforcement.
Bisseck will reportedly join as a backup to Alessandro Bastoni. During the season just gone the 24-year-old has had no real deputy in the squad.
Either Francesco Acerbi has shifted to the left or Federico Dimarco has moved into defense when Bastoni has been out.
Now the Nerazzurri will have a true backup for Bastoni. Bisseck is used to playing on the left of a back three despite being right-footed.
Moreover, the versatile Bisseck could also used on the right side of defense.
Inter Milan To Make Yann Bisseck Signing Official Next Week
Inter have already triggered the release clause of Bisseck from Danish club Aarhus.
The Danes have confirmed that the Nerazzurri have offered the necessary amount to sign the 22-year-old, and that they will pay €7 million in two instalments of €3.5 million.
Moreover, the Nerazzurri have also agreed personal terms with the player.
Accordingly, now all that is left is for Inter to make the move official.
Di Marzio reports that some time early next week, Bisseck will arrive in Milan. There, he will undergo his medicals and then sign his contract to become an Inter player.
At the moment, the German is still on vacation after the Under-21 World Cup.
But soon, Inter will sign Bisseck, beating Premier League giants Manchester City to his signature.
