Inter Milan forward Joaquin Correa is starting to consider the possibility of a move to the Saudi Pro League.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old would now be willing to consider Saudi options on the table, although the Nerazzurri’s focus is finding an alternative to Romelu Lukaku.

The future of ex-Lazio forward Correa at Inter has looked up in the air for this summer.

On the one hand, the player is clearly no longer in favour at the Nerazzurri. All reports suggest that the club’s directors are ready to give up and offload the Argentine after two underwhelming seasons.

Even coach Simone Inzaghi, the main sponsor of bringing Correa in from Lazio, would reportedly be happy to see the player leave.

But on the other, finding suitors for the out-of-form Argentine would be no easy feat.

Correa has struggled with niggling injuries over his two seasons at Inter. These have disrupted the Argentine’s form, and would naturally make clubs wary about taking a chance on signing him.

So far this summer Fenerbahce have shown an interest in signing Correa. However, the player has rejected the possibility.

Meanwhile, Premier League duo West Ham United and Everton are reportedly in with a tentative interest.

Inter Forward Joaquin Correa Ready To Consider The Saudi Option

Teams from the Saudi Pro League have been spending big on players from top European leagues this summer.

Moreover, Correa’s difficult situation at Inter would not necessarily discourage Saudi clubs from making a move as it would European sides.

Offers from the Saudi Pro League would therefore present an expedient option for Inter to offload the striker.

Tuttosport report that the Nerazzurri value Correa at around €15 million. This would not be out of line with what Saudi Clubs have been paying for big name footballers this summer.

And for the player’s part, there is greater openness than before, when he was initially reluctant.

Correa would certainly be able to maximize his earnings should he make a transfer to a Saudi club. This could tempt him away from top flight European football.

However, Tuttosport report, making a sale of Correa is not necessarily Inter’s priority in any event.

The newspaper report that right now the Nerazzurri’s primary focus is on making a big striker signing to replace Romelu Lukaku.

Therefore, while a Correa sale can’t be excluded later in the window, Inter will not be pushing for it right now.
