Only a couple moire details need to be wrapped up before Inter Milan can complete the signing of Lazar Samardzic from Udinese.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. The newspaper reports that the two clubs must still work out the exact formula for Giovanni Fabbian’s inclusion in the deal.

Inter have been moving fast in talks to sign Samardzic.

The Nerazzurri have been targeting the German-born Serbian international throughout the summer.

First, he was a player who they had seemingly lined up as an alternative target to Davide Frattesi. However, even after wrapping up a deal to sign Frattesi from Sassuolo, the Nerazzuri have continued to work to sign Samardzic.

And now, Inter already appear to be right on the verge of getting a deal done.

The Gazzetta report that after recent rounds of talks between Inter and Udinese, the transfer is essentially only a matter of time.

Inter have won the race ahead of Lazio, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli to sign the former RB Leipzig midfielder.

Inter Milan & Udinese Must Agree Details On Fabbian + Cash Formula For Samardzic

Key to Inter securing a deal for Samardzic has been their offer to send young midfielder Fabbian the other way.

The Nerazzurri had put a few players on the table as potential counterparts. But it was Fabbian who convinced Udinese.

The Friulani have granted the Nerazzurri a lower fee in order to land the 20-year-old.

There is total agreement that Fabbian will be part of deal. But what remains to be worked out is the exact terms of his inclusion.

First of all, the clubs must agree on the exact valuation of the young midfielder within the deal.

Then, there is the terms of a buyback option. Inter will insist on one being in the deal, as they do not want to lose control of Fabbian’s future.

However, the clubs have not yet agreed on the terms of such an option.

The two clubs should meet in the next day or two to work out these last details.

Then, Samardzic will join Inter.
