Inter Milan will go all-out in their quest to sign striker Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea this week.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that this will be the week where the Nerazzurri officially turn their attention to finally wrapping up a deal for the Belgian.

Inter don’t want to wait any longer to bring Lukaku back for next season after several weeks of talks with Chelsea stalling.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi believes that the 30-year-old will be a vital piece of the puzzle to compete for the Serie A title.

Therefore, there’s little doubt in the mind of the Inter directors. They believe that the coming days must see decisive progress in their attempts to sign Lukaku.

Lukaku has already rejected a massive money offer from Al-Hilal, and will in fact accept a pay cut to stay at Inter. He would also have zero interest in a shock switch to the Nerazzurri’s city rivals AC Milan.

This The Week Inter Milan Push To Sign Romelu Lukaku From Chelsea

Over the past week, Inter have done a fair bit of transfer business.

They have reportedly wrapped up a deal for Sasuolo and Italy midfielder Davide Frattesi.

Meanwhile, the contracts of Hakan Calhanoglu and Alessandro Bastoni have been extended.

In terms of the exit door, talks with Man United for goalkeeper Andre Onana are really starting to heat up. It now looks only a matter of time before the Nerazzurri sell the Cameroonian for a massive fee just twelve months after he arrived on a free transfer.

With all the work now complete or very much ongoing on these various deals, Inter are ready to go all-in for Lukaku, reports the Gazzetta.

So far, Chelsea’s unwillingness to consider another loan deal has meant Inter haven’t been able to work anything out.

However, the Nerazzurri have accepted that they must pursue a different course. They will offer Chelsea a paid loan deal containing a purchase obligation.

Inter have strategized to fit this offer into all their other plans. Not least a big money sale of Onana. This would allow them to have the funds to make a guaranteed offer to Chelsea.

With so much other work out of the way, Inter are now ready to move. This should be the week for a Lukaku deal to finally happen, they hope.
