Inter Milan will wrap up the signing of Germany under-21 defender Yann Bisseck after negotiating payment of the fee with Aarhus.
This according to SportMediaset journalist Marco Barzaghi, via FCInter1908. He reports that the Nerazzurri will pay the €7 million release clause for the 22-year-old, but will do so in three instalments.
Bisseck is now in Milan, where he is putting the last touches on his move to Inter.
The German is in the process of undergoing medicals and signing his contract since his arrival yesterday.
However, the one holdup has been Inter finding an agreement with Bisseck’s club Aarhus on a fee. The Nerazzurri have aimed to renegotiate terms at the last minute.
Aarhus had initially confirmed that Inter had signalled their intention to pay that amount in two equal instalments, this triggering the release clause.
However, before completing the signing, Inter contacted the Danish club to ask for a different payment structure.
And according to Mediaset journalist Barzaghi, they have managed to agree just that with Aarhus.
Inter Milan To Pay Aarhus In Three Instalments To Sign Yann Bisseck
According to Barzaghi, Inter have successfully negotiate paying the €7 million release clause for Bisseck in three instalments.
The initial plan had been for two instalments of €3.5 million. Instead, the Nerazzurri will pay three equal instalments. They will, in any event, pay the full release clause.
Now, with that agreement in hand, Inter will go ahead with the signing of Bisseck.
Bisseck will reportedly join as a backup to Alessandro Bastoni. During the season just gone the 24-year-old has had no real deputy in the squad.
Either Francesco Acerbi has shifted to the left or Federico Dimarco has moved into defense when Bastoni has been out.
Now the Nerazzurri will have a true backup for Bastoni. Bisseck is used to playing on the left of a back three despite being right-footed.
Moreover, the versatile Bisseck could also used on the right side of defense.
The departures of Milan Skriniar and Danilo D’Ambrosio have given the Nerazzurri further impetus to go after a new defensive signing.
Bisseck will be the first defensive signing of the summer for Inter. The German is all set to complete his move to the Nerazzurri, who will sign him ahead of Manchester City.
