The agent of Inter Milan midfielder Giovanni Fabbian has denied that the player could turn down a move to Udinese.

The 20-yar-old’s agent Michelangelo Minieri spoke to Italian news outlet FCInter1908 to address the rumours that Fabbian isn’t yet sure whether he’ll accept a move to Udinese as part of a deal for Lazar Samardzic to come the other way.

This summer always looked like it would be a big one for Fabbian.

The 20-year-old had an outstanding season on loan at Reggina in Serie B last season.

The Inter midfielder was named as the Calabrian team’s best player of the season.

Despite having just one season of senior football under his belt, Fabbian has already attracted plenty of interest.

All of Napoli, Lazio, and Atalanta are reportedly fans of the 20-year-old.

Even just for next season, all of Lecce, Bologna, Salernitana, Genoa, and Empoli have all shown interest.

It has looked as though Udinese are the team who’ll win the race, however. The Nerazzurri have offered Fabbian as part of a deal to land midfielder Samardzic.

The Friulani are keen on Fabbian and have accepted that offer. Reportedly, there will be a buyback option in the deal.

However, for the move to happen, Fabbian would also have to give his green light.

Agent Of Giovanni Fabbian Denies He Could Turn Down Udinese Move

A report earlier today suggested that Fabbian has yet to be convinced by a move to Udinese.

According to that report, the 20-year-old’s priority for next season is playing time. Therefore, he could prefer a switch to a team where he would have a more prominent role.

However, the player’s agent told FCIN1908 that “We categorically deny the rumour according to which Giovanni Fabbian isn’t yet convinced on a move to Udinese.”

He notes that “In any event, negotiations are ongoing.”

“It’s up to the clubs to find an agreement right now. But we’ll happily cooperate once they do, Udinese is a great and prestigious club.”

Minieri also noted that “The young man feels a strong sense connection to Inter. He extended his contract until 2028 a few days ago.”

“Now we’re waiting to see how the negotiations between the clubs go,” he added.

“And then we’re ready to start talks with Udinese ourselves. And we won’t have any reservations.”

Fabbian’s agent made clear that “We would give a move to Udinese strong consideration.”

“They’re a club who have earned wide respect for how they’re able to develop young players,” he said of the Friulani.

“So the rumour [of Fabbian declining Udinese] came out without any confirmation,” Minieri made clear.
