Inter Milan are demanding €60 million for Man United target Andre Onana because of the need to fund signings with sales.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s aim is to monetize the sales of Onana and Marcelo Brozovic as much as possible to facilitate a number of signings.

Inter’s financial situation headed into this summer is not quite the same as in previous transfer windows.

Unlike the past couple of summer windows in which the Nerazzurri have had to make big money sales just to bring in a net profit before making signings, this time around they are not seeking a profit.

However, Inter still do need to bring in transfer revenues if they want to bring in players going the other way.

The Nerazzurri do have a number of targets in mind. Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi is right at the top of Inter’s shortlist.

Then, there’s striker . Inter want to Romelu Lukaku bring the Belgian back but are struggling to convince Chelsea to agree to another loan deal.

Meanwhile, Inter are looking at Monza’s Carlos Augusto as a reinforcement on the left flank. And, if Onana himself were to leave then they’d want a top-quality replacement – Giorgi Mamardashvili is their main target now.

Inter Want Maximum Cash For Man United Target Andre Onana

Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta is plotting to make a number of sales to fund these incoming pieces of business.

Inter are in talks with Al-Nassr to sell Marcelo Brozovic. They hope to pocket a fee of around €23 million for the Croatian international.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri are ready to sell wingback Robin Gosens. The German is a target for Union Berlin, Wolfsburg, Nottingham Forest, and Bournemouth.

These deals could go some way to opening the door to moves for players like Frattesi and Augusto. Not least because those two would be like-for-like replacements for Brozovic and Gosens respectively.

However, a larger sale would be necessary to bring everything together.

That’s where Onana comes in. Man United are reportedly thinking about a move for the Cameroonian.

There’s no doubt that if Onana were to leave Inter it would be for a big fee. However, the question of just how large of a fee could be all-important.

Inter CEO Marotta is aiming high. He wants to demand at least €60 million from United to get a deal done.

That way, the Nerazzurri can make sure to secure Mamardashvili as a replacement, and also hurry up on a number of other important signings.

If Inter are to sacrifice Onana for financial reasons, they don’t want it to be in vain. They want enough money for the keeper that they can strengthen the team.
